Howden Show is a much-anticipated event held annually on The Ashes Playing Field in Howden, East Riding of Yorkshire. Here’s all the information you’ll need to get there and enjoy the day safely.
The showground

Access and parking
- Access Points: Visitors must use the Bishops Manor and Parsons Lane gates to enter the showground. There is no pedestrian access via the Treeton Road Ashes Car Park gate
- No Parking on Showground: There is no general parking or Blue Badge parking available at the Ashes Playing Field

Important notices
- Vehicle Movement: Once on the showground, no vehicles can move after 8:15 AM until advised that the site is safe.
- Parking Restrictions: Please follow all parking instructions to ensure smooth entry and exit from the event.
Safety and welfare
- The event organisers prioritise health and safety, with stewards wearing high-visibility vests and paramedics available on-site.
- In case of an accident or incident, please report it immediately to the Secretary’s Tent or the nearest steward.
- Access points to the showground and rings must remain clear for safety, and visitors should follow requests from stewards and officials.
Facilities
- Mobile Toilets: There are accessible mobile toilets throughout the grounds, including disability-accessible options and baby-changing facilities. Please leave them clean after use.
- Animal Areas: Visitors are encouraged to wash their hands after visiting areas where animals are on display to ensure hygiene.
General information
- Compliance: The Howden Show Committee reserves the right to exclude any person who does not comply with event regulations or reasonable requests from stewards.
