Livestock Classes

The livestock section of Howden Show offers educational opportunities for visitors to learn more about farming, animal husbandry, and breeding.

From cattle classes to rare breed sheep, and more, visitors get a chance to see high-quality animals and learn about the hard work that goes into farming. Whether you’re a farmer, animal lover, or just curious about rural life, the livestock section is sure to provide an educational and enjoyable experience. Many breeders are happy to answer questions about their animals, and there are often informational displays about the various breeds and farming practices. This makes the show an excellent opportunity for children to learn about where their food comes from and how animals are raised on farms.

The cattle classes have long been an important part of Howden Show, attracting exhibitors from across the region and beyond. Once again, the standard of entries is expected to be high. In addition to the cattle classes Skylark are bringing along their rare breed sheep for you to admire!

Entry fee £3 per class (cheques payable to Howden Show).
